Design Concept
Our goal is to design a space that is functional and meets the needs of the community; cohesive with a consistent design language; inclusive, celebrating Hmong, Hispanic and Native American culture
Project Brief
To design a library space that welcomes people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. This space will provide learning experiences, research opportunities and cultural exchange that would benefit the local community. Meriam Park Library will serve as the community public library, at the same time, it will promote different cultures through coffee, pastries, art, and special activities.

Café - Located near the entrance which initiates the attention of the guests walking in. Guests are welcome to engage with books about food, coffee, culture from the recommendation corner on the wall. (Sketchup/Enscape)
Children’s Area - This area provides a playful and engaging experience for both parents and their kids. (Sketchup/Enscape)
Reading Lounge - A space for quite reading. (Sketchup/Enscape)
Open Collaborative Space - Located near the reception which initiates the attention of the guests walking in. Guests are welcome to work as group or individual while enjoying the biophilic design the provides the focal attention. (Sketchup/Enscape)
Cultural Center - Located in the center of the space. This area is the heart of the Library, which welcomes all cultures to showcase their ethnicity through, art, guest speaker and other mediums. (Sketchup/Enscape)
